The Gift of Time

As the Birthday Child looked out the window, a gentle breeze blew in, carrying a small, wooden box. Inside sat the Birthday Compass. Unlike a regular compass that points North, this one had a needle made of pure sunlight that spun toward Joy.

"Happy Birthday!" chirped a voice from the rafters. It was Kora, the Keeper of Occasions. She fluttered down, her wings sparkling like confetti. "Today, you aren't just one year older; you are one year bolder."

The Three Birthday Riddles

To unlock the full power of the Compass, Kora explained that the Birthday Child had to answer three simple riddles about their past year:

1. The Memory Spark: "What was the loudest you laughed this year?" As the child remembered a funny moment, the Compass glowed Warm Orange.
2. The Growth Vine: "What is something you can do now that you couldn't do last year?" As they thought of a new skill—reading, swimming, or helping others—the Compass glowed Vibrant Green.
